Delicious Meal Ideas to Cook for Mother’s Day

What better way to impress mom on Mother’s Day than by making her a delicious home-cooked meal! Whether you want to serve her breakfast in bed or brunch with the family, the time and energy spent on making her a special meal is sure to touch her heart. If you want to try a twist on her favorite dish or aim for something entirely new, here are some ideas to get you started.

Quiche – From broccoli and cheese to feta and spinach, there are endless options for the perfect quiche. Prepare in advance so you can enjoy time together. If mom’s dairy-free, you can swap out cream for almond milk and use cashew milk cheese. Add bacon or ham for a meat option or serve the meat on the side. Pair with a delicious fruit salad, and you’re done!

Blueberry Baked French Toast – The meals you can prepare in advance take the stress out of cooking on Mother’s Day. Unlike the standard french toast recipe that you cook on the stove, this option bakes in the oven. By layering bread, cream cheese, eggs, blueberries, milk, and vanilla, this recipe is as easy as pie! Top with fresh blueberries, syrup, and powdered sugar before serving.

Omelet and Potato Bites – Using a greased muffin tin, layer the bottom with tater tots and bake for 10 minutes. Add eggs, milk, cheese, bacon, or your favorite healthy options to each tin. It’s a great way to sneak in some veggies. For a keto or low-carb option, skip the potatoes and make mini omelets.

Apple Raisin Breakfast Casserole – The sweet flavors of apples and raisins in this casserole will have mom asking for seconds. Chop up about 6 cups of cinnamon raisin bread and combine with eggs, milk, 2 granny smith apples and a half cup of raisins. Add pieces of cut up bacon for a salty spin on this dish. Bake and serve while still warm.

Honey, Raspberry, and Banana Ricotta Toast – This is an easy and delicious option with ingredients you may already have on hand. Fresh french bread is ideal, but you can use whatever bread you prefer. Combine vanilla, milk, ricotta, and raspberries and spread on the toast. Top with bananas and honey drizzle.

Raspberry Mango Sangria – Brunch would not be complete without a tasty drink to go along with your delicious meal! Combine mint, limes, raspberries, and mango with wine and simple syrup for a tasty treat. Plan to make the day before and refrigerate for at least 10 hours. Serve with additional fruit and mint.
